Ashwagandha and VO2 Max

For athletes, VO2 Max is important. For everyone, it’s also a predictor of mortality.

It has been well-documented that moderate and high intensity exercise can improve VO2 Max, but there are some natural ingredients that can also give you an edge.

We’ve reported before on a small study where Arjuna bark and Ashwagandha (both in Flow and Flow Pro), increased the VO2 Max of study participants. But today, let’s focus solely on Ashwagandha.

This study showed that supplementing with 600mg of Ashwagandha (300 mg twice daily) and consistent exercise improved muscle strength, growth and endurance in both male and female participants.

Coincidentally, 600mg is the amount of Ashwagandha in Flow Pro.

Beyond VO2 Max, Ashwagandha is also known to ease stress, improve sleep and recovery.

So, while it is absolutely important to exercise to improve VO2 Max, you can also get a little help from nature!
